Temple of Ages fight?
Hello Guru!
So, today I just left the Temple of Ages in Kryta headed for Talmark Wilderness, and when I left I was greeted with a scene of Brother Mizar and White Mantle Greves the Overbearing instead of the usual mobs that sit outside. After they finished talking about the False Gods, a fight commenced. I helped the Priests and Priestesses. Now that we won, Greves fled and now I'm running around with a Shining Blade member known as Alari Doubleblade. What was that about? It's not a quest, as I have no quests in my quest log talking anything about this. Do I need to do something with Alari? So lost! So Random! Help! lol |

When War in Kryta is active, you gain some help in every area in Kryta. There is no way to get rid of them except to complete WiK. See the list under Escorts http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/War_In_Kryta

No, you don't have to do anything. You've just happened upon something that adds more depth and realism to the sense that there is instability, as well as a serious war brewing in Kryta.
Alari as well as many other Shining Blade NPC's have a chance for appearing for you in Krytan areas upon completion of the Prophecies/EotN campaign. |

Ooh. ok. Cool. I just barely finished the Prophecies campaign, starting on Factions after I get my Tyrian Cartographer. I am brand new, so I have done nothing on WiK and EoTN.
Thanks! *sorry for double post* Does that mean I accidentally triggered the WiK? o_O I thought I had to of finished EoTN first. Last edited by Marty Silverblade; Jul 07, 2011 at 10:44 PM // 22:44.. Reason: merged - use the edit button instead of posting multiple times in a row |

Finishing Prophecies or EotN triggers War In Kryta. The only way to return the mobs back to what they were is completing WiK.

You can still do them in order, it just makes getting cartographer in Tyria before moving on to factions a little harder. You do not have to finish WiK before going to Cantha to work on factions. The WiK mobs are limited to the Kryta area and as long as you don't advance the quest line the story just shows a little oppression of the people of Kryta.
I say continue on doing the campaigns in order if you want the story in order. As for cartographer.... I'm not one to promote self inflicted pain, but you can do that any time you'd like. |

You are actually in a great spot as long as you don't progress the WiK storyline. The only change is that you get Shining Blade NPCs on your team through parts of Kryta. Some of the mobs might change, but none of it will affect your cartography and may in fact make things easier
